The 2024 Met Gala theme was just announced — Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. The theme and exhibit of the same name will feature 250 pieces from the Met's collection, many of which are too fragile to be on permanent display. Modern garments will be displayed alongside their historical counterparts, and will be shaped around three main "zones" — land, sea and sky — to show the connections between humans and nature.
