1. Bananas are berries that grow on an herb plant.
There's a lot to unpack here. Bananas are fruits, but they are specifically berries, botanically speaking. Berries are fruits that come from one flower with one ovary and have
many seeds. The seeds are super tiny, and you likely don’t even notice eating them.
Avocados, pomegranates and kiwis are also berries by that definition. The banana plant has
no woody tissue like a tree, so it’s an herb, and one of the largest on Earth,
at that. When the bananas are picked, the whole plant dies down and comes back
the next season.
