Videos of a chocolate bar from Dubai are taking over the FYPs of Instagram and TikTok, and at first glance, it looks interesting. People tasting the chocolate bar can be seen cracking the bar in half to reveal a textured green filling. So what exactly is this filling that makes the bar so unique that people want to spend $60 just to try it?
The green, gooey filling with an added crunch is a mixture of shredded phyllo dough, pistachio cream and tahini. The chocolate bar is made by melting down chocolate, creating a base layer, adding a generous amount of the “kunafah” filling and then sealing the rest with another layer of chocolate.
All you’ll need to make this at home is a chocolate mold (though you can use any dish you please), the shredded phyllo dough, pistachio cream, tahini, milk or dark chocolate, white chocolate and food dye if you want to replicate the fancy design. The only cooking required for this recipe is cooking down the shredded phyllo and melting the chocolate. After that, the hard work is done, and you only have to wait for it to sit. You can find the full recipe here, or skip all of these steps and order the chocolate. However, it may be some of the most expensive chocolate you’ve purchased yet — judging by the reviews, it would be well worth it anyway.
