1. Milwaukee
Milwaukee—or Wisconsin for that matter—may not be at the top of your must-visit destinations, but you will be surprised by the amazing food, people, and activities to do in Milwaukee. Milwaukee rests on Lake Michigan—the lake Chicago shares—which means there are tons of activities to do when the weather is nice. From breweries and excellent restaurants to museums and baseball games, Milwaukee won’t disappoint!
2. Asheville
Asheville has got it all. Friendly people, delicious wineries and breweries, and outdoor activities galore. In fact, Asheville has become a popular destination for bachelor and bachelorette parties in recent years because of the wide range of things to do in the city. Whether you visit in summer or fall, you won’t be disappointed.
3. Marfa
Marfa, Texas is small. Quite small! But that’s what makes it so lovely. Marfa is a bonafide arts hub, so if you find yourself gravitating to places like The Met in New York City or The Getty in Los Angeles, then this should be your next destination. Come for the beautiful desert views, stay for the “fake” Prada store.
4. Kansas City
Kansas City has been in the spotlight a few times in the last few years, and for good reason! From great sports to delicious BBQ, Kansas City is a midwestern city that everyone can enjoy. Kansas City is fun for the whole family, too, with popular amusement parks such as Worlds of Fun. Not to mention the fun events Kansas City will be hosting in upcoming years, including the World Cup.
