1. Fill a plate or bowl with ice and place it in front of a fan
The fan will naturally blow cooler air it picks up from the ice cubes. Just remember to refill the ice as it melts!
2. Put clothes or pillowcases in freezer
The freezer is your best friend! Put anything and everything, from pajamas to pillowcases and more in the freezer to instantly feel a blast of cold.
3. Iced drinks and treats
It might go without saying, but frozen treats do a lot to cool down your internal body temperature. Even if you prefer room-temperature drinks, opt for those with ice.
4. Cooling sheets/no blankets
Pare down your bedding and opt for cooling sheets and a light blanket or no blanket at all. Pro tip: Combine that with a pillowcase straight from the freezer and you'll be off to dream land in no time!
5. Sit in front of a fan with a damp cloth
For those really warm days, dampen a sheet or light blanket and drape it over your shoulders or lap. Sit in front of a fan and soak in that feeling of relief!
6. Open windows that are in line with each other
This will promote a breeze through your home that will keep the air circulating. This also works for windows or doors that are diagonal to each other.
