If you liked the winged eyeliner look, have you considered
rocking wings on your lips? With the #sirenlips trend on TikTok, you overline
your lips with a dark liner and a little flip-up at the corners. Then, fill in the
rest of the lip with gloss. If done correctly, it is a wide-mouthed sultry look.
To get this look, first line with a thick line and a lighter
hued nude liner, like Nudestix Mini 90's Nude Lips 3-Piece Kit.
Next, go in with a darker, thinner line and really outline, winging
out at the corners and defining the lip shape, then smudge with a gloss. The Pout Master Sculpted Lip Duo from Anastasia Beverly Hills has both a dark liner and clear gloss.
The only thing to keep in mind is to take it easy on the
corner wings. Too much and you’ll look like The Joker. You’re really just bringing
a little extra emphasis to your natural lip line.
This lip look is inspired by the siren eye trend. With siren
eyes, you draw a thin wing at the outer corner, swoop back around over the lid
and line the lower lid and inner corner, skipping the very center of the lid
line. You then smudge and accent with a dark shadow. It’s very dramatic and
minimalist. Together, this lip and eye combo is a killer, dangerous look.
For a softer lip look, there’s the opposite vibe from siren lips -- doe lips -- still sexy but a little more demure. Line
the lips along your natural line, first with a thick line and a lighter color and then
define with a thin line and darker color. Stick to your lip shape at this point and don't extend at the corners. Smudge with gloss and smooth right over the cupid’s
bow for a plump pout.
Which of these looks is your perfect vibe? We suggest trying them all to see what works and most importantly, have fun with it!
