Mindy Kaling
Our very own Kelly Kapoor first stepped on the carpet covered head to toe, and then emerged from her dress like a flower in bloom. Truly delightful.
Madelyn Cline
This Kook-turned-Pogue went for a Billy Porter-inspired look, if I may make the comparison. We could have done with some color, but the neutral palette played into the story.
Keke Palmer
Keke went all in on the interpretation of the night's theme, opting for a shiny "tattered" look that played on the idea of the delicate yet priceless frocks on display at the Met's exhibition this year.
Alia Bhatt
Bhatt's saree was an exquisite turn on the garden theme that I truly cannot stop thinking about.
Gigi Hadid
Gigi Hadid's timeless look gave old Hollywood a run for its money.
Zendaya
Zendaya being named a co-chair of the gala just makes sense — TBH, Anna Wintour should just step aside and give the whole thing to her. She didn't disappoint in two different looks — the second including balancing a literal bouquet on her head. Not to mention how hard she hit these poses. Our queen!
Ariana Grande
This super feminine touch by Ariana Grande was stunning, and somehow evoked her upcoming Glinda character while also assuming the role of the glass flowers from the story.
Jennifer Lopez
J.Lo took another co-chair seat this year and went crystal galore in her winged Schiaparelli gown. Our flower, for sure.
Nicole Kidman
Leave it to Nicole Kidman to ace both the theme and the dress code. In an homage to a iconic 1950s Balenciaga couture gown, Kidman stepped out in a recreation of the dress that also looked like it could have come straight from the secret garden in question with that frock of feathers.
Sydney Sweeney
Our blonde bombshell went rogue with a dark brunette bob and matching gloves to go with her gorgeous aquamarine ballgown.
Sabrina Carpenter
With the year this one is having, it's no secret she was a darling of the Met. This gown gives hydrangea vibes, so we're giving it an A.
Ayo Edebiri
There's only one thing to say here...YES CHEF! Ayo's blooming look was perfect right down to the manicure.
Demi Lovato
Demi came out with a classic interpretation of the glass flowers from Ballard's story, and considering we haven't seen her on the Met carpet since her first gala in 2016, we'll take it.
Cardi B
Cardi is giving Maleficent-meets-Edgar Allen Poe, which works.
Dua Lipa
Did Dua hit the theme or dress code? Debatable. But she looks hot as ever, so who are we to complain?
Emily Ratajkowski
All we ever want/need from EmRata is a daring look, and boy did she deliver this year!
Lily James
Co-chair Lily James played it a bit safe, I'd say, but the oversized train saves the day.
Tyla
I actually can't get over this one. A dress that looks like it's crafted of literal sand, with extra shoulder detailing, was so unexpected, and a real twist on the theme — "sands of time," in place of "Gardens of Time." Besides, any gown that requires you to be carried up the stairs just wins.
Kelsea Ballerini
Ballerini floated through the Met as a cutie little bushel of flowers. No notes.
Elle Fanning
Sleeping Beauty herself came out for the Sleeping Beauties gala! The glass flower look was done by a number of celebs, but Elle Fanning's is by far my favorite — and the most realistic. Claps for Balmain.
