Did you know that people in Ireland don’t eat corned beef and cabbage? It’s actually an Irish-American immigrant-created dish based on the availability and affordability of bacon in the late 19th century. Yet, it has been adopted as the national dish you are supposed to eat in America on Saint Patrick’s Day. And let’s face it -- unless you enjoy boiled pink-gray meat and wet vegetables, it’s not really that great.
This year, celebrate with some authentic Irish dishes to go along with your Murphy’s or Guinness (stay away from that green shit, please). Vote your favorite recipe to the top!
