1. Turmeric and Black Pepper
Turmeric is great for flavoring your food, but its health benefits are mostly due to it carrying curcumin, a strong anti-inflammatory that’s unfortunately not too easily absorbed by our bodies. That’s where the piperine in black pepper comes in. While piperine on its own fights nausea and poor digestion, it’s most helpful in helping curcumin do its thing. If you’re going for one of those fancy turmeric shots, be sure it’s got some pepper in there, too. Otherwise, go nuts on a curry stir fry.
