1. Ghostly Houseguests
Welcome those trick-or-treaters in style with ghostly (yet friendly, I'm sure!) friends that take just a handful of supplies and barely a moment of your time.
2. Petrifying Pillows
No fancy embroidery necessary, here – just a glue gun and couple o' ghosts!
3. Wicked Easy Web
There's a spider web decoration going around that's very popular this year, but you can make basically the same thing with just some thread and scotch tape! Plus, this one can go anywhere you have a blank wall. Grab a couple of plastic spiders (I like the glow-in-the-dark ones) and you're set.
4. Pumpkinhead Planters
Shall we call these...candlestick planters? I have no idea, but the good news is, Halloween decor doesn't really have to make sense. In this case, these pumpkinheads add a whimsical welcome to your entryway, and you can give them any kind of paint job you want.
5. Mini Monsters
Talk about four supplies you more than likely have lying around the house. With just cotton balls, tissues, black marker (optional, honestly) and floss, you can make a haunted forest in just a few minutes. Bonus: This is an easy DIY for the kids to join in on!
6. Curious Candles
Hot glue "candle wax" is all over the DIY world these days, and for good reason: It's an easy way to make cheap faux candles – or, in this case, plain ol' cylinders – look especially sinister. Add black spray paint and a tea light for simple dupes!
7. Witchy yet Wondrous
Move over, "Hocus Pocus." This would totally freak my cat out, but what a fun and practical idea this spooky season. Turn this baby on during your Halloween party to delight your guests and keep the place clean!
8. Scary Skull
This project actually blends, like, three different DIYs into one, and it's truly genius. Melt candle wax out of its vessel (a DIY-er's trick to reuse especially pretty jars) and pour it back into a $1 plastic skull. Tear away the plastic once it hardens and you've got yourself a skull-shaped candle that, honestly? You don't even have to burn.
9. Sinister Skeletons
The more creative people get with toy skeletons, the more excited I get. In this instance, you're building a "prison" for a particularly criminal skelly, and it's delightful.
10. Creepy Candlesticks
I typically opt for a simply black candlestick to switch over to Halloween decor, but this is so much more fun.
