3. Ogunquit
Ogunquit is one of the most welcoming towns in the world, and also happens to be home to one of Maine's most visited beaches. Ogunquit is also known for the iconic Marginal Way. This scenic coastal walkway stretches for about 1.25 miles along the rugged cliffs from Ogunquit Beach to Perkins Cove. It offers breathtaking views of the ocean and is a go-top spot for walkers, joggers and photographers.
4. Old Orchard Beach
Old Orchard Beach is a coveted spot for family vacations, with a massive beach, outdoor activities and of course, the pier. The iconic Pier at Old Orchard Beach extends 500 feet into the ocean and is lined with shops, arcades, eateries and a classic amusement park area with rides and games. Don't forget to try the pier french fries and some soft serve!
5. Portland
Portland, Maine is a vibrant coastal city known for its historic charm, food and brewery scene and its picturesque waterfront. The Old Port District is the heart of Portland's dining, shopping and entertainment scene. Walk up and down cobblestone streets lined with boutiques, art galleries and restaurants offering fresh seafood and local craft beer before heading to the Portland Head Light for some amazing photos.
6. Freeport
Freeport, Maine is a charming coastal town that offers hiking, shopping and local dining that will make you feel right at home.
