1. Best Use of Boston Actors: Dunkin’s “DunKings Pt. 2”
We got an extended cut of the DunKings commercial first
spotted at the Grammy Awards and not only were both Afflecks present, but also secret
Bostonian Jeremy Strong and former Patriots coach Bill Belichick (with his
girlfriend!). It doesn’t get more Boston than this!
2. Best Tearjerker: Pfizer’s “Knock Out”
A kid beats cancer and does a victory dance down the street
to the tune of L.L. Cool J. It was hard not to feel misty when he ran into his
mom’s arms.
3. Best "Great Minds Think Alike" Ads: Little Caesar’s “Who” and Pringles’ “Call of the Mustaches”
In Little Caesar’s Eugene Levy ad, his eyebrows fly off and land
on a baby as a mustache. For Pringles with Adam Brody and Nick Offerman, the
mustache flies off the can and around town. They should’ve made one spot
together and saved a few bucks.
4. Best Bite-Sized Ad: Yahoo’s “Email Bill Murray”
Bill Murray gave out his Yahoo email address in this 15-second ad and we’re following this call to action.
5. Best Nightmare Fuel: Mountain Dew Baja Blast’s “Kiss From a Lime”
Seal became a seal in this soda ad and we’re sure we’ll see
this image from now on when we close our eyes.
6. Best Sloths: Coors Light’s “Slow Monday”
We give this award to the sloths of Coors Light who hate
Mondays, because sloths are the best thing ever.
7. Best Celeb Mashup: Uber Eats’ “A Century of Cravings”
Matthew McConaughey may have fronted this history lesson
about food and football (one of two campaigns he represented this night) but
there were sightings of Martha Stewart, Charli XCX, Greta Gerwig and more. It
felt like a party.
8. Best Unexpectedly Spicy Commercial: WeatherTech’s “Whatever Comes Your Way”
Frisky grannies flashing at bingo? We did not expect that, especially from WeatherTech.
9. Best Rule Breaking: Liquid Death’s “Safe For Work”
This Liquid Death ad is so on point because it does feel
illegal to hold this can when you’re driving. Relax, it’s just water.
10. Best Roast of Tom Brady’s Roast: Duracell’s “Brady Reboost”
We’re still smarting from second-hand embarrassment from Tom
Brady’s roast and it’s so nice of Duracell to bring it up yet again.
11. Best Ad That Made Us Scream: Coffee Mate’s “Foam Diva”
When the tongue formed a heart shape and started giving a
Shania Twain concert, everyone in the room screamed in terror. That’s one way
to get our attention.
12. Best Sandwich: Hellmann's "When Sally Met Hellmann's"
That must be some mayonnaise to get that reaction from Meg
Ryan (along with “When Harry Met Sally” co-star Billy Crystal) after all these
years.
13. Best Chills: Nike’s "So Win"
This ad for Nike highlights amazing female athletes and all
the contradictions they need to overcome to win, bringing new meaning to the slogan "Just Do It.”
14. Best Ad We Don’t Know What to Make of: Tubi's "Cowboy Head"
The kid in this ad wears his fandom on his head in the shape
of a fleshy cowboy hat and we have no idea what to do with this information.
15. Best Chrises: Ray-Ban Meta “Art Collection”
Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth and Kris Jenner all came
together for Ray Ban and Meta’s AI glasses, proving you can never have too many
Chrises.
16. Best Reminder to Chill Out: Häagen-Das "Häagen-Dazs (Featuring Vin Diesel, Ludacris & Michelle Rodriguez)"
"The Fast and The Furious" crew reminded us sometimes we
just need to slow down and eat ice cream. Well said.
17. Best Excuse for Muppets: Booking.com’s “Get Your Stay Ridiculously Right”
We love the Muppets, however we get them. This ad used
them well and reminded us Muppets are always the right move.
18. Best Betrayal of Boston: Stella Artois’ “David & Dave: The Other David”
David Beckham realizes he has a long-lost brother named
Other David, played by Matt Damon. Matt not only throws Ben Affleck under the
bus, but he also drinks Stella Artois, not Sam Addams.
19. Most Awkward Alien Encounter: Totino's Pizza Rolls’ “Chazmo Goes Home”
Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson confront their friendly
garage alien about the amount of pizza rolls he ate and the alien is clearly
superior at math.
20. Best Mascot Party: “We’re Here” by Instacart
All the mascots gathered together from the Jolly Green Giant
to the Old Spice Guy to remind us that Instacart arrives when you need them.
