1. Stylebook
Founded in 2009, Stylebook has been helping users curate their wardrobes and tap into their personal styles for years. You can upload pictures of your clothes to create your wardrobe or add images from items you’ve bought online. When you have a trip coming up, you can build packing lists based on your own wardrobe. Looking for just the right blouse or flats to complete your closet? You can also shop on the app. The app is available at a one-time cost of $4.99.
2. Acloset
Acloset is an app that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to suggest daily outfits, built from your own closet, based on the weather. You start by uploading photos of your clothes, shoes and accessories. You can build smaller, capsule wardrobes from within your entire closet. Once you’ve uploaded your items, you can build out your own outfit ideas or let the app make suggestions for you. You can also explore other users outfit creations to get ideas and even buy and sell clothes in the app. The app is available for free.
3. Smart Closet
From organizing your own clothing, shoes and accessories to shopping for trending items, Smart Closet allows you to curate the wardrobe of your dreams. Like Stylebook and Acloset, this app allows you to recreate your wardrobe in the app, and then build looks or get randomized looks. You can set up custom rules to determine how randomized outfits will be generated. You can create a wishlist of items in the app and follow other users to see their outfit ideas. The app is available for free, or there is a premium version for $0.99 per month or $9.99 per year.
4. Wishi
When you’re tired of everything in your closet, it might be time to recruit a stylist to help you get your wardrobe into shape. Wishi connects you to your own personal stylist. You can start by taking a style quiz to help the stylist get an idea of things you like. You’ll be matched with a stylist, who can pull shoppable look moodboards for you or can help you create looks with things you already own. You can buy recommended pieces directly in the app. The app offers three pricing plans: Mini for $40, Major for $90 or Lux for $550.
5. Cladwell
Cladwell is part wardrobe organizer, part stylist. With this app, you can upload photos your own clothing items, or use the database to replicate your wardrobe with lookalikes of what you own. Build daily outfits, or let the app suggest what to wear based on your location and local weather. You can also build capsules and get shoppable lists of clothes, and the app offers an AI stylist to help you plan outfits or packing lists. Cladwell has a free, limited version, a $7.99 per month plan or a premium annual plan, which offers the most features, for $59.99 per year.
6. Pureple
Pureple is designed to help you organize your wardrobe. You can add your own photos of clothing and accessories, or search from the database for similar pieces to build your wardrobe. Not sure what to wear? Pureple brings up outfit suggestions that you can swipe left or right on — yes, like a dating app. One unique feature is the community aspect, which allows users to suggest outfits for each other, a great way to get fresh ideas and step out of your comfort zone. This app is available for free.
