1. “Doctor Odyssey” (ABC)
After the success of moving “911” to ABC, creator Ryan
Murphy (“Glee,” “American Horror Story”) is teaming up with Joshua Jackson (“Fatal
Attraction”) for a show about the doctor on board a luxury cruise ship. The
staff aboard the ship works hard and plays harder as the doc and his team will
need to navigate unique medical crises far from shore.
2. “Scamanda” (ABC)
Based on a podcast of the same name, "Scamada" is a
documentary series that follows the story of Amanda Riley — a wife, mother, blogger and Christian — whose
cancer battle enthralls her followers. That is, until a journalist receives an
anonymous tip, sending Amanda’s world crashing down.
3. “High Potential” (ABC)
A cleaning lady with a knack for solving crimes, thanks to
her exceptional intellect, starts a side gig as a consultant for the cops in
this new comedic crime procedural, starring Kaitlin Olson (“It’s Always Sunny
in Philadelphia”). Her foil is a seasoned detective (Daniel Sunjata), who
works by the book.
4. “Golden Bachelorette” (ABC)
It’s time for a lady to shine in her golden years as Joan
Vassos, a former
bachelorette on “Golden Bachelor” who left abruptly, is the star
of this season of the senior dating show.
5. “Agatha All Along” (Disney+)
The breakout star of "Wandavision" Kathryn Hahn gets her own
spinoff as the titular suburban witch. Joining Hahn is Joe Locke (“Heartstopper,”),
Broadway legend Patti Lupone, Aubrey Plaza (“Parks and Recreation”), Sasheer
Zamata (“Saturday Night Live”), Emma Caulfield (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) and Debra Jo Rupp (“That ‘70s Show”).
6. “Iron Heart” (Disney+)
Dominique Thorne, first introduced in “Black Panther:
Wakanda Forever,” continues her journey as RiRi Williams, a genius inventor who
creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. Anthony Ramos (“In the
Heights”) also stars.
7. “Daredevil Born Again” (Disney+)
“Daredevil” gets a reboot after moving from Netflix to Disney+.
Charlie Cox is back as Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio also returns as nemesis Kingpin.
Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson are also rumored to return.
8. “Natalia” (Hulu)
Post-“Grey’s Anatomy,” Ellen Pompeo will star in this limited series
about a Midwestern couple who adopt an 8-year-old girl with a rare form of
dwarfism. The couple then starts to suspect that their adopted daughter is
actually a grown woman. This series is inspired by the true story of Kristine
and Michael Barnet.
9. “Paradise City” (Hulu)
“This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman has a new ensemble drama about a
former U.S. president and his team. Fogelman reunites with Sterling K. Brown as head of
security, while James Marsden (“The Jury”) plays the president.
10. “Dying for Sex” (FX)
Michelle Williams (“Fosse/Verdon”) stars as Molly, a woman
diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer who leaves her longtime husband to explore
her sexuality, in this new show based on the Wondery podcast. Jenny Slate plays
her best friend and Liz Meriweather (“New Girl”) is co-creator of the series.
The cast also includes Rob Delaney, Jay Duplass and Sissy Spacek.
11. “Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage” (CBS)
For those mourning the
loss of “Young Sheldon,” tune in for this spinoff starring Sheldon’s brother Georgie
and his new wife Mandy. Montana Jordan and Emily Osment will return to
their roles on the multi-camera Chuck Lorre series, but no word yet on which other “Young
Sheldon” cast members are returning.
12. “Joan“ (CW)
Sophie Turner (“Game of Thrones”) stars in this glossy
series as real-life jewel thief Joan Hannington. Joan is a single mom who
turns to crime to provide for her daughter and embarks on an exhilarating journey.
13. "Good Cop/Bad Cop" (CW)
We love an odd pairing, and this time it’s a procedural dramedy
about a brother and sister detective team starring Luke Cook (“Chilling
Adventures of Sabrina”) and Leighton Meester (“Gossip Girl”). The duo solves crimes
in a colorful Pacific Northwest town while they clash with the chief of police: their father (Clancy Brown, “Billions”).
14. “Nobody Wants This” (Netflix)
TV favorites Kristen Bell (“The Good Place”) and Adam Brody
(“The O.C.”) star in this comedy about the unlikely relationship between an
outspoken, agnostic woman and an unconventional rabbi.
15. “A Classic Spy” (Netflix)
Ted Danson (“The Good Place”) headlines a new comedy series from
Mike Schur (creator of “The Good Place"). In it, Danson plays Charles, a retiree
who answers an ad from a P.I. to become a mole in a secret investigation. It’s
based on the 2021 Oscar-nominated documentary “The Mole Agent.”
16. “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” (Netflix)
Another installment in the "Monster" anthology (“Dahmer” was
the first) tells the tabloid-ready tale of the Menendez brothers, who brutally
murdered their parents in 1989. Co-creators Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan are back with Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny as parents Jose and Kitty Menendez. Newcomers
Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch will be portraying Lyle and Erik
Menendez, while Nathan Lane is journalist Dominic Dunne.
17. “The Waterfront” (Netflix)
Kevin Williamson (“Dawson’s Creek”) returns to the North
Carolina shore to create this new series about a family resorting to dangerous
means to keep their sinking fishing empire afloat. It is inspired by true
events.
18. “Running Point” (Netflix)
Mindy Kaling is the creator and showrunner of a new comedy
sports series starring Kate Hudson. In it, Hudson plays Isla, the president of
a legendary basketball franchise and also the family business. Isla has to
prove herself to her brothers as well as the public in the male-dominated
sports world.
19. “Tomb Raider” (Prime Video)
Lara Croft gets another life in this new adventure series from
Phoebe Waller-Bridge ("Fleabag"), based on the best-selling video game series. There’s no
word yet on who will play Croft.
20. "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" (Max)
“Game of Thrones” gets another spinoff, this time set a
century before the original series. Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire, Egg, will have adventures through Westeros. Author George R. R. Martin will
executive produce.
21. “Dune: Prophecy” (Max)
This TV series will be a prequel to the movie series. Set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, the show follows
two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of
humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene
Gesserit. Emily Watson, Travis Fimmel and Tabu star.
22. “The Pitt” (Max)
It’s been a while since “ER” ruled the airwaves, but show
creator John Wells and star Noah Wyle are hoping to bring some of its magic to
this new series about healthcare professionals in a Pittsburgh hospital.
